2022 Pinot Noir - South Slope

Vinification: 100% destemmed into open top fermenters. 5 days cold soak w/3 times daily punchdowns. Fermentations last as additional 10-12 days w/2 times daily punchdowns. Once dry,pressed into 25% new 75% one year old Francois Freres barrels. Malolactic fermentation complete in barrel.

The 2022 Pinot Noir The South Slope Vineyard is one of the more delicate, ethereal wines in this year's lineup. Crushed flowers, sweet red cherry fruit, mint and white pepper give the South Slope notable aromatic presence and lift. this is nicely done. 91pts.
